Somehow that it is a DRM issue as opposed to a bug or something else just really gets my goat.I got this error once in Dragon Age: Origins and it was simply fixed by emptying a txt-file on games folder.
Dll Patcher For Me2 Dlc Download The WholeI guess its just easier to download the whole game again from EA Downloader, although it will take couple of hours to finish. The game is DDE purchased from EA-Store sometime during its release a year ago. Damn these kind of DRMs altogether, Assasins Creed 2 style works fine although saves are stored on a server somewhere out there but the game stil works without any problems I hope ME3 will not have same kind of DRM as this and DA:O, but sure itll have. Maybe I purchase it from Steam next time to get off all these problems. Dunno if it is sold in Steam though, it should be The dream option would be through Blizzards Battle.net, but it isnt open to other developers yet like Steam is. Now this is weird, emptying that file from DA:Os Fix also works for Mass Effect 2s AWC.dll Error. I downloaded the whole game again from EA Downloader and still got the error. Then I just decided to try this: 1) In Windows XP: In folder X:GamesMass Effect 2Binaries there is a file EACoreApp.ini with some text within it. Just simply open this up in Notepad and erase all the text within the file. Then save it. Backup the file just in case. Game should work now. Dll Patcher For Me2 Dlc Install All TheAtleast it worked for me, now to install all the DLCs and patches and hoping it wont break up again. None of all methods above worked for me, and strangely I didnt found any awc.dll in my computer, even after installing Adobe Air (tried installing as administrator and awc.dll is nowhere to be found). ![]() If that doesnt work then go to and make an account if you havent got one. Go to Contact Us and then you have to pick a product which is ME2(Mass Effect 2) 2.Then choose platform which must be pc. Choose the category called Technical support and the sub category shall be crashingFreezingLoad failure. You can choose mail or live chat i prefer live support because its fast. Do as they tell you. I have had the same problems, unable to access DLC and no cerbrus network, this is the second time I have downloaded a game from the EA online store and had nothing but problems (( (Dragons Age, Mass Effect 2) had no responce from EA or Bioware, tried all the self help fixes and no joy. If anyone from EA bioware reads this you have alot of unhappy costomers SORT IT OUT. This was stickied for a long time; now, AFAIK, its included in Kloreeps catch-all FAQ: social.bioware.comforum1topic106index804361 Edited by Gorath Alpha, 03 May 2011 - 07:21 PM. But then I updated to the Mass effect 1.02 patch and it worked just fine. Had the same issue as other posters in this thread with digital version of ME2 (downloaded from D2D). Typed in correct path and manually ran eacoreserver.exe and finally got the game to load. Then I installed DLC and once again got the awc.dll error. Previous fixes no longer worked after I tried them again. Then I read somewhere that deleting all text from the.ini file in the binaries folder might work. So after making a backup, I tried it and the game now runs fine. Based on time and frustration spent on getting the game to work my feelings about ME2s DRM cannot be described on a family-friendly board.
